BUTE 2018

At the end of November I was invited to Bute with the Ceaird boys. These guys are both artists who also love jesmonite and I got in touch with them just after graduation looking for a job! Whilst they could not offer me one just yet we soon became good pals and they now let me tag along to different events they are running to help them out and then we usually get very merry afterwards! This workshop was good fun and we ran two over the course of the day, it is great experience working with the boys and I urge anyone to reach out and email people that are doing work you are interested or excited by! People are usually super nice and if they don’t reply then who cares right?

YOUNG METEORS AT LUSTRE CRAFT FAIR – NOTTINGHAM

At the start of November 2018 I made the long, arduous journey down to Nottingham (absolutely no direct transport from Scotland). Lustre was a great show, a weekend long craft fair that saw hundreds of patrons. Despite the long journey down, it was definitely worth it as I got the chance to meet of talented artists, see some absolutely incredible design and the Young Meteor room was filled with the most lovely of recent graduates!

  CLUSTER CRAFT FAIR

Later on in October I travelled down to London to take part in the Cluster Craft show at The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane.

The space for this show was great, right in the heart of Brick Lane. There was loads of other events happening around the area so I spent a lovely week visiting solo shows, art galleries and got lost for hours in the gemstone room at the Natural History Museum. Died and went to Heaven!

    GREAT NORTHERN CONTEMPORARY CRAFT FAIR

In October 2018 I travelled down to Manchester as I was invited to exhibit as part of Great Northern Graduates 2018 at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair. This was a super fun and friendly show with some amazing artists displaying and selling their work. Manchester is always a dream to visit and this time was no different! Great atmosphere, friendly people and lots of smiley faces over pints. If anyone gets a chance to take part in future GNCCF events then I thoroughly recommend it!
